Allies? Sponsors? What’s Really Required to Advance Women in Leadership?
4:30 - 5:15pm, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020

Women who want to advance into senior leadership need talent, experience and targeted training, of course. But relationships also matter – perhaps more than anything else. This session examines how relationships with people in power make the difference in women’s careers. The interactive session features Jonathan Jackson, who has been a male ally for emerging women leaders. Attendees will receive highlights from Male Allies for Women Leaders: Why They Matter, a joint report by Brandon Hall Group and Orange Grove Consulting. You will also learn:

  • The difference between allyship, sponsorship and mentorship
  • What professionals – both men and women -- think about male allyship
  • Where you are on the allyship continuum
  • How to create power relationships within your organization to help advance more women
