Genpact Accelerates Gender Diversity

When Genpact’s gender-diversity ratio in Banking and Financial Services was much lower than the company average, quick steps were taken to enrich the division’s pipeline of talented, knowledgeable women in higher-level positions. The program, called Aparajita (the Undefeated Woman), led to a 19% increase in women as assistant vice presidents and above in the division. The year-long program included training and development to help participants be more holistic leaders focusing on self-awareness and management as much as on managing and leading others. This innovation earned Genpact a Gold Award for Best Inclusion and Diversity Strategy in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
