GE Transportation, along with PurpleFrame Technologies, have created a technology-based solution that enables GET’s customers and employees to access high-quality training over any platform (PC, Mac, iOS (iPads and iPhones)), Android, Blackberry).  The uniqueness of their solution is that this has been done, not by creating separate versions of the content, but in an extremely cost-effective and state-of-the-art technology platform.  They do not create separate packages for separate devices, as has been the case, but create content using HTML5 and MP4 video files so it is viewable across all devices. PurpleFrame Technologies has filed for a patent in being able to compress the MP4 files 100 times and, therefore, they are able to provide extremely high-quality video files to users – even those who have restricted bandwidth.
