Application Information



What is the entry deadline?

Excellence in Learning, Talent Management, and Sales and Marketing 2013 Awards Program is currently open to receive applications.  Application deadline is April 19, 2013.

The Excellence in Technology Program will open to receive applications in June 2013 with an entry deadline in September.


How do I submit an entry to the awards program? (Fees, Payment Options, Multiple Entries)

There are three steps to submitting an entry:

  1. Download the entry form, which is located at the beginning of each category page.  You will need to return the completed entry form to awards@brandonhall.com.
  2. Complete an online application for the category you wish to submit: Learning |Talent Management | Sales and Marketing
  3. Once the online application has been submitted you will be prompted to remit payment.  All payments must be received by April 19, 2013.

Fees:

Excellence in Learning: $575.00 US
Excellence in Talent Management: $575.00 US
Excellence in Sales and Marketing: $575.00 US
Excellence in Technology: $795.00 US

If you are paying by check please include a note with your company name, entry category, title, number of entries.

If needed, you may request an invoice from Brandon Hall Group.

Multiple Entries:

Your organization can enter multiple times, even within the same category, but the entry fee must be paid for each separate entry. If your organization would like to submit the same entry in multiple categories, the entry fee must be paid for each category entered.


Can I have an extension?

There are 78 categories across 4 program areas:

Excellence in Learning (18)
Excellence in Talent Management (15)
Excellence in Sales and Marketing (15)
Excellence in Technology (30)

 
Can I submit an entry in a language other than English?

All learning entries must be written in English.


Are our entry materials kept confidential?

In the online entry form you are given the opportunity to decide whether or not you would like Brandon Hall Group to publish your entry. If you decide not to give permission for your entry to be published please click “No” when asked if you are giving permission to publish when submitting your entry form. If you select “No” -  the information you submit will be kept confidential and will not be published in Brandon Hall Group’s member center.

How many winners are there?

We award winners based on three levels:  Gold, Silver and Bronze.  Approximately 20% of entries will be awarded.


When will the winners be announced?

The winners from Excellence in Learning, Talent Management and Sales and Marketing Awards Program will be announced in September 2013. 

Applications for the 2013 Excellence in Technology Awards Program will be open in June and winners will be announced December 2013.

We are a practitioner (corporate, non-profit, government) organization. Which categories can we enter?

The The Technology Awards program is for technology organizations and departments to enter alone or jointly with their client organizations.

You can enter in the Excellence in Learning, Excellence in Talent Management, and Excellence in Sales and Marketing categories.


We are a solution provider organization. Which categories can we enter?

You can enter in the Excellence in Learning, Excellence in Talent Management, and Excellence in Sales and Marketing, only if you submit with a client organization.  

The Technology Awards program is for technology organizations and departments to enter alone or jointly with their client organizations.

Judging Information


Who are your judges?

Entries are judged by:

  • Panels of independent senior industry subject matter experts and practitioners. 

    Professions include:
    • VPs, Directors, Managers
    • Independent Instructional Designers and Program Developers
    • University Professors and PHDs

 Types of Organizations include: (US and Global based)

  • Corporations
  • Government Organizations
  • Military Groups
  • Associations and Nonprofits
  • Brandon Hall Group research analysts and executive leadership


What is the judging criterion?


Each category has its own judging criterion that is unique to the program area.  

Each of the entries will need to show examples of the following:

  • Design of the programs or technologies
  • The use and objectives of the program
  • Overall benefits and measureable results
  • Supporting graphics, demos, links and videos where appropriate
