Breakout Session
Leadership Lessons:
Secrets from Peers

 Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 | 12:45-2:00PM

While leadership development continues to earn a top spot, year after year, on organizations’ talent priority lists, most organizations still don’t have it. More than 80% of organizations surveyed in our 2015 research said their leaders are not ready to lead their organizations into the future. Effective leadership development is comprised of at least three key elements: business strategy, leadership strategy, and development solutions.  However, most organizations focus primarily on the development solutions, while often neglecting to build requisite leader experience. To meet the leadership capability and continuity needs of their business, executives, other senior business leaders, and HR and talent professionals should think about what their leadership requirements are and how to deliver on those requirements.

In this session, you will learn how thoughtful and Excellence Award-winning organizations are:
  • Defining great leadership
  • Creating leadership and leadership developments and critical components of each
  • Holding leaders accountable for creating high performance teams
  • Designing leadership development solutions that create real and necessary leader experiences
  • Implementing leadership development solutions for all leader levels
